Bird pest control or bird-proofing situations
To give you an idea of the type of bird pest control situations that we have dealt with previously, here are a few examples of bird problems in Fife that we successfully resolved.
A householder in Kirkcaldy was being plagued by seagulls nesting in the chimney of his property, causing noise, mess and structural damage. Using approved prevention measures, we were able to deter the seagulls from setting up home at his home.
Similarly, we used chimney-guard bird proofing in Glenrothes after jackdaws fell down the chimney, and when sparrows prevented a couple from sleeping we used bird-proofing bird control measures to prevent the sparrows from nesting there the following year.
We were also asked to provide bird control for a factory in Leven where pigeon droppings were contaminating machinery and goods, as well as being a hazard to staff health. Meanwhile, a shop owner in Dunfermline needed bird-proofing measures because pest pigeons were causing a problem by scavenging and fouling in his back yard – apart from the inevitable mess caused by the droppings, this also led to a slip hazard.
Similar issues are often caused by house martins and swallows, whose droppings create a constant mess in doorways and at windows. As if this were not bad enough, often in these situations the householders cannot sleep because of the birds’ constant twittering outside the bedrooms of their property.
Active Pest Solutions can use approved, specialised bird-proofing measures to prevent this problem occurring at your properties throughout Fife, Perth and Kinross-shire.
